FAQs

Welcome!

If you've clicked this page, I bet you're wondering a little more about what MOPS is. Well, you've come to the right place! We tried to answer most of the common questions below, but if you're missing something, don't hesitate to email us at wrmops@gmail.com.

What is MOPS?

Whether you're a stay-at-home, working, city, country, adoptive, special-needs, single, or married mom, MOPS is for you!

We're a group of local moms who get together twice a month, and we encourage each other through all the ups and downs of motherhood over brunch. Childcare is provided for the little ones up through 5th grade (aka the Moppets) and there is always plenty of food and coffee on tap!

Being a mom is challenging and it's sometimes a very lonely job.  If you're a mom of a little one (pregnancy through high school), and long for some "grown-up" time, then Warner Robins MOPS/MOMSnext would love to have you!

What Are The Meetings Like:

Our meetings begin when we drop off our kids in their assigned Childcare room at 9:15 am. Once the children are dropped off, the moms get together (coffee and brunch are provided) for our meeting. At 9:30 am, we begin with announcements, then segue into a craft, listen to a guest speaker or hear a message from one of our wonderful steering team leaders. There's always time for socializing, and time for you to take a deep breath and feel rejuvenated.  Before you know it, it's time to clean up and pick up your kids.

Do moms and kids stay together?

Nope. This organization is focused on nurturing YOU! We're fortunate to have wonderful child care workers to care for your children so you can actually enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a much-needed break from being a mom.

Our loving caregivers enjoy spending time with your children, and have been gracious in giving their Wednesday mornings to take care of your most precious possessions. All kids can be dropped off in designated, age-appropriate rooms (see more about our Childcare here).

What other Activities/Events Do You Do?

Play Dates:

Besides our meetings (which are awesome!), we plan monthly play dates for the kids around town. One day we may go see the inner-workings of a real live firehouse, and another outing may be to a park or to experience picking their own strawberries.

Moms Night Out:

We also have events just for moms—no kids allowed (unless the baby is nursing, of course!). These moms' nights out are so much fun and are a fantastic way to meet new friends. They usually involve dinner somewhere or a potluck, and lots of laughing.

When Do We Meet?

Check out our schedule with the dates for our upcoming meetings!

Where Do We Meet?

We meet at Southside Baptist Church in their Community Building. You'll see a big MOPS sign on the building where we meet (it's behind the church), and then from there we'll take you and your kiddos over to where the Moppets meet.
